Donate to INELDA

Your donation matters to those who are dying

It’s essential for every person, in every community, to have the opportunity to address their physical, spiritual and emotional needs at end of life. Like you, INELDA wants a future where all individuals have accessible, equitable, and compassionate deathcare that holistically affirms one’s humanity and supports end-of-life choices. Sadly, today this isn’t the case.

Imagine what our deathcare system could look like if everyone had an opportunity to have a doula?

Please donate whatever amount you can to ensure that the needs of the dying are met through the support and guidance of end-of-life doulas.

With your generosity and our values we can:

  • Creating additional education for learners to expand their doula knowledge around a specifc illness and communities’ needs

  • Continue our scholarship program by offering scholarshops in every end-of-life doula training.

  • Building alliances to support research and policies for equitable deathcare in partnership with our membership organizations.

  • Strengthening the connections between death doulas within the INELDA community and throughout the deathcare community by creating in-person and online opportunities.

  • Partnering within care facilities and other institutions to address gaps in end-of-life care through staff training.

  • Grow our current pro bono projects with people experiencing homelessness and those dying in prison.

INELDA PROJECTS

INELDA has committed to raising funds in 2023 for The People Experiencing Homelessness Project (PEH Project). This is a multi-year campaign. Please consider making a donation today.

The People Experiencing Homelessness Project | End-of-Life Care Curriculum was created to develop a model around supporting the unhoused and build curriculum around harm reduction and trauma-informed care at end-of-life. Despite more than one-third of dying Americans using hospice care, there is no current data on how many individuals experiencing homelessness have access to it.

INELDA is partnering with Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency, Homeless Youth Alliance, International Network of Street Papers, National Harm Reduction Coalition, National Health Care for the Homeless Council, SAMHSA/Soar Works, Street Roots, TGI Justice to understand the barriers PEH face when accessing end-of-life care and developing resources to address unmet needs.

Thank you for your support!
